hot pad

I had off today so I was finally able to finish a project I've been working on. My boss was trying a new craft called Locker hooking. And it looked really easy. I can handle easy. So I picked up some fabric, string, mesh and needle to went to work. I think it turned out kind of cool. I like the look of it. I see a lot of rugs like this style. But I need to find a stand or holder that would work while doing this. It kind of gets a little awkward holding it and trying to work the fabric. I used a busy pattern fabric on this, but I think solids might work better. You can't see any patterns, just the colors. I'm going to find some solid pink & brown to match and see if I can blend the 3 together on the next one.

Haunted Corn Maze

Just wanted to post a fun picture I took of my friend Leah from a couple of weeks ago when we went to the haunted corn maze. The place had this little stage area set up with the clowns from some scary movie I can't remember, and Leah is always up for a fun photo opp!

the night sky

This is what was the night sky last night. Just B-E-A-UTIFUL! The photo does not do it justice. I just wish I knew how to post process in CS3 better to achieve the look of what I saw.

been too long

I'm such a bad blogger....

It's been almost 2 weeks now that we've had our new little puppy. Pictures are STILL on my camera. I just haven't had that much time to do anything except follow her around to stop her from having accidents on the floor, or chewing the legs of our dinning room table (that made me cry), and trying to keep her separated from Zona (more on that later). I do have lots of really cute photos I need to post. I promise to do that this weekend...I hope.

But one of the things on my list that I've wanted to do was play around with some textures I found online. I found some really cool freebie ones here. LOVE THESE!! :)

And here is one of my many iris photos from this summer.
